Icheon to Provide Local Currency Consumption Support Funds Starting May 2

Reward Rate Increased from 20% to 30%
Up to 60,000 Won Benefit Per Person
On April 25, the city of Icheon in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will provide Gyeonggi Icheon Love local currency consumption support funds starting from May 2, in celebration of Family Month in May.
This round of consumption support funds will be provided by increasing the reward rate for local currency payments from the previous 20% to 30%. The maximum support amount per person is 60,000 won.
The rewarded points can be used at designated affiliated stores within two months from the date of issuance. If not used within the period, they will automatically expire. The support program will end once the allocated budget is exhausted. Policy allowances such as the basic allowance for farmers, except for recharged funds, are excluded from the consumption support benefits. Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, said, "We have prepared this event to give citizens an opportunity to actively use local currency with their families in celebration of Family Month," and added, "We will continue to implement various policies utilizing local currency to revitalize the local economy, which has been stagnant."
