Busan City, which is promoting the "15-Minute City" initiative, is launching a unique promotional event in collaboration with a leading local community platform in South Korea.
On April 25, Busan City (Mayor Park Heongjoon) announced that it will hold a promotional event for "15-Minute City Busan" in partnership with the "Danggeun" platform.
The city is working with "Danggeun," a major domestic community platform with 40 million cumulative users, to promote the "15-Minute City Busan" through an event called "With Your Child" for Danggeun app users in the Busan area.
The concept of a 15-Minute City is one of Busan's key policies, with the vision of "a city where good culture is close to home and neighbors bring joy and happiness."
This event is designed to help citizens easily and familiarly access city policy facilities within a 15-minute living radius by utilizing Danggeun's local-based services.
Anyone can participate in this event. From April 25 to May 8, participants can share a short video introducing places in Busan to visit with children on Danggeun's short-form service "Danggeun Story" using the hashtag (#WithYourChild).
All participants will immediately receive Danggeun Money, and 50 winners will be awarded 30,000 won in Dongbaekjeon.
Sharing videos of Deullak Nallak, a major children's cultural complex facility in "15-Minute City Busan," will increase the chances of winning. The city plans to establish a total of 105 Deullak Nallak locations throughout Busan, with 80 currently in operation.
The winners of the event will be announced on May 16 through the city's official Instagram and Danggeun Story.
Busan City will compile the videos submitted for the event into content and release it on the city's official Instagram on May 23.
Park Gwangmyeong, spokesperson for Busan City, said, "I hope this will be an opportunity to discover many places in Busan, which ranked first nationwide in the evaluation of children's quality of life, where you can spend time with your child," adding, "We will continue to collaborate with Danggeun so that citizens can experience the value of the 15-Minute City Busan in their daily lives."
