Students from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Gyeongnam Information University participated in the 'Digitech Global Field Trip' program, organized by the Digitech Council for Higher Vocational Education, where they experienced Japan's advanced industrial sites firsthand.

This program took place from April 8 to April 11, 2025, in major Japanese industrial cities such as Nagoya and Osaka. It was designed for outstanding students from Digitech member universities across the country, with the goal of strengthening their global competencies.


The students attended 'Manufacturing World Japan 2025,' the largest manufacturing expo in Japan, held at Port Messe Nagoya. There, they experienced the latest technologies and trends in the global manufacturing industry. They also visited world-renowned companies such as Toyota and Kyocera, where they explored advanced production systems and cases of technological innovation in depth.


Additionally, through a special lecture delivered by a Japanese employment expert, the students gained practical information and strategies for global employment, providing them with valuable insights for future career planning and overseas job preparation.

Lee Sungwook, head of the Innovation Support Project at Gyeongnam Information University, stated, "We are very pleased that our students were able to participate in this excellent global program organized by Digitech. The Digitech Council for Higher Vocational Education is currently operating a variety of international programs to support industry-oriented education and global advancement for junior colleges. The council plans to continue expanding its global network to foster digital talent and drive innovation in vocational education.
