The "Gangdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate" will be issued at a 15% discount starting at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd, while the "Gangdong Sarang Gift Certificate" will be issued sequentially at a 5% discount starting at 11:00 a.m. on the same day.

With this issuance, the district expects to provide buyers with both a discount on gift certificate purchases and a 30% income tax deduction benefit. For affiliated merchants, practical support such as reduced transaction fees will be provided. The district anticipates that these measures will stimulate local consumption and help stabilize the management of small businesses.

Both gift certificates are mobile vouchers that can only be used within Gangdong-gu. They can be purchased after installing the Seoul Pay Plus app and registering as a member on a mobile phone registered in the buyer’s name. However, as the usage methods for each certificate differ, buyers should pay close attention to these differences before purchasing.

The Gangdong Sarang Gift Certificate can be used via QR code at affiliated stores in Gangdong-gu registered on the Seoul Pay Plus app. The Gangdong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate can be used when ordering food at Gangdong-gu affiliated merchants registered on the public delivery app "Ttaenggyeoyo."

Kim Heeduk, head of the Gangdong-gu Regional Economy Division, stated, "As the economic downturn increases the financial burden on small business owners and consumers, we hope that the simultaneous issuance of local gift certificates during Family Month in May will invigorate neighborhood businesses. We will continue to make efforts to provide more benefits and support to residents through a variety of policies in the future."
