Genesis Opens Largest Dedicated Showroom in South Korea in Cheongju

Genesis announced on April 25 that it will open its fifth dedicated showroom in South Korea, 'Genesis Cheongju,' located in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do.

Genesis Cheongju serves as a hub where visitors can not only view and test drive the entire Genesis lineup, but also experience a variety of exhibitions and community programs. With six floors above ground and two underground, the total floor area is 6,953 square meters (approximately 2,103 pyeong), making it the largest Genesis showroom in South Korea.

Genesis plans to operate Genesis Cheongju as a complex space that goes beyond a traditional car showroom, hosting cultural and social activities to establish it as an 'automotive culture hub.'

The showroom features display areas for a total of 10 models, along with various immersive spaces. The first floor includes a lounge for test drive and vehicle delivery customers. The space incorporates materials such as hanji (traditional Korean paper) and wood, reflecting a distinctly Korean aesthetic and highlighting the unique local character of Cheongju, a city renowned worldwide for its crafts. On other floors, visitors can experience a wide range of Genesis lifestyle collections, watch color story videos, and explore different interior and exterior combinations for the vehicles.

To commemorate the opening, Genesis is holding a special exhibition, 'Garden of Time,' in collaboration with metal craft artist Cho Seongho, running until July 6.

In addition, a variety of participatory programs will be offered. Genesis will operate a 'local specialty test drive program' unique to Cheongju, allowing participants to enjoy the city's famous natural scenery while experiencing a distinctive driving sensation.

Other programs include: ▲'Owner Daily Drive Test Drive,' which provides Genesis owners with driving tips ▲'Comparison Test Drive,' where two different models can be experienced under the same driving conditions ▲'VIP Seat Test Drive,' offering a chance to experience the refined space and comfort of the long-wheelbase rear seat. Participatory programs such as hanji workshops and resin art workshops will also be available for customers.

A Genesis representative stated, "This is a place that combines the craftsmanship of Cheongju with the unique values of the Genesis brand," adding, "It will be a space that embodies our brand philosophy by delivering a new luxury lifestyle experience that goes beyond simply purchasing a vehicle."
