On April 24, the Gwangju Office of Education announced that it will operate customized career experience programs for elementary and middle school students, including those from educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative, which will run until November, is designed to help students discover their strengths and interests and proactively plan their own career paths.

The Office of Education will prioritize schools with a high number of 'educationally considered students,' such as those from multicultural backgrounds, students receiving special education, students struggling to adapt to school, and those who have not yet decided on a career path, focusing on narrowing opportunity gaps.

The program is divided into an 'Interest and Aptitude Exploration Career Experience Camp' for elementary students and a 'Time to Change Myself, Career Exploration Camp' for middle school students. A team of professional instructors will visit schools directly to conduct the programs.

The elementary camp will explore students' aptitudes and interests based on the theory of multiple intelligences through various activities such as self-understanding exercises, fragrance science, and creative convergence logic experiences. The middle school camp will develop practical career planning skills through group activities focused on leadership, technology development, financial management, and understanding promotional career fields.

Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "We will expand customized career education so that students can prepare for their futures on their own."
