Honam University and Smart Talent Development Institute Sign MOU to Strengthen Digital Capabilities

Honam University announced on April 24 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Smart Talent Development Institute to strengthen digital capabilities and foster AI-based interdisciplinary talent.

The signing ceremony was held on April 23 in the Academic Affairs Committee Room on the third floor of the main building at Honam University. Attendees from Honam University included President Park Sangcheol, Vice Dean of Industry-Academia Cooperation Lee Eunkyung, and Head of the Department of Counseling Psychology Jang Eunyoung. From the Smart Talent Development Institute, Chairman Cha Junseop, Director Ban Sugyeong, Deputy Director Lim Seongsik, and Director of Public Relations Choi Hyeok were present.

Through this agreement, the two institutions have agreed to actively cooperate in the following areas: joint promotion of government projects based on digital and AI convergence; design and development of educational programs and curricula; operation of programs to increase employment rates; educational support for revitalizing local industries; and other projects necessary for the development of both institutions.

Cha Junseop, Chairman of the Smart Talent Development Institute, stated, "Through mutual exchange with Honam University, we will do our utmost to fulfill the role entrusted to the Smart Talent Development Institute, and we hope to further activate talent development through the design and operation of diverse educational programs."

Park Sangcheol, President of Honam University, said, "With this agreement, I hope both institutions will continue to develop through active cooperation and mutual complementarity in operating educational programs to foster AI-based interdisciplinary talent."
