Yuseong District in Daejeon announced on April 23 that it will hold the '2025 Yuseong Hot Spring Culture Festival' for three days from May 2 to May 4 along Oncheon-ro.

On the first day, May 2, the festival will open with the 'Sushinje' ritual honoring Yuseong's traditions, followed by the Yuseong Crane Dance and Yuseong Hot Spring Play. The opening ceremony will feature congratulatory performances by top singers such as Guckkasten and Ali, as well as a special performance celebrating the festival's 30th anniversary.

In particular, a drone light show featuring 700 drones and fireworks will illuminate the sky over the Gapcheon riverside, marking the spectacular start of the three-day festival.

On May 3, the festival's signature street parade will take place under the theme of the '30th Anniversary of the Yuseong Hot Spring Culture Festival.' Local residents and professional performance teams, including a giant crane, marionettes, and flash mob dance teams, will transform the Oncheon-ro area into a festive street.

To ensure all generations can enjoy the event, the festival will also feature performances by the most popular children's characters and the Hot Spring Water DJ Party, where participants can have fun while being splashed with hot spring water.

On May 4, the finals of the 'Yuseong Hot Spring Music Dance Contest,' where participants from across the country will compete in singing and dancing, will be held. The festival will conclude with a VR performance and a popera concert.

Every day during the festival at 3 p.m. on Oncheon-ro, the festival's signature event, the 'Hot Spring Water Gun Splash,' will take place, allowing visitors to enjoy water gun fights to lively music. There will also be over 100 different experience booths and a relaxation area called the 'Forest Healing Zone.'

Additionally, a pop-up swimming pool will be set up on Oncheon-ro, and the Yuseongho Theme Foot Bath Train will be operated, offering visitors the chance to enjoy wine and aroma foot baths and experience the Yuseong hot springs more closely.

Jung Yongrae, head of Yuseong District, said, "In celebration of Family Month in May, we have prepared the festival as a space for unity and healing that all generations can enjoy together. I hope you will create special memories with your family at the Yuseong Hot Spring Culture Festival, which is filled with attractions and experiences such as the spring flower exhibition and foot bath experience zone."
