This agreement was established to build a continuous system of mutual cooperation based on the expertise and information of each institution, and to provide more effective dementia care services to the residents of Gijang County.

Gijang County and the participating organizations agreed to closely cooperate for the smooth implementation of the 'Dementia-Specialized Garden Healing Program,' including the joint operation of educational programs, improving dementia awareness in the community, creating a dementia-friendly environment, and providing customized services to support healthy living for dementia patients.

With this agreement as a starting point, the county's Dementia Relief Center will begin full-scale implementation of the 'Dementia-Specialized Garden Healing Program.'

This is a nature-friendly program designed to stimulate the senses and reinforce memory by cultivating a garden with carefully selected plants to alleviate dementia symptoms. Participants are directly involved in every aspect, from plant selection and planting, to seasonal gardening and garden walks, as they design and care for the garden themselves.

An official from the Gijang County Health Center stated, "We hope this business agreement will serve as an opportunity to create an environment where local seniors with dementia can live stably and with dignity," adding, "We will continue to make efforts to build a sustainable dementia care system through close cooperation with related organizations."
