Buan County in North Jeolla Province won the Grand Prize at the 6th Jeonbuk Special Autonomous Province Cadastral Survey and Drone Competition held on the 18th.
According to the county on the 21st, the competition, held at the Imsil Cheese Theme Park, is organized annually to respond to spatially changing surveying environments, strengthen cadastral survey inspection capabilities, and enhance the job performance of cadastral officials.

원본보기 아이콘This year's event featured teams composed of three cadastral officials, including cadastral engineers and officials with drone licenses, from each of the 13 cities and counties in the province.
The competition evaluated various criteria, such as proficiency in operating surveying equipment and compliance with cadastral survey procedures, all within a time limit of 150 minutes. Buan County's team, consisting of Cho Chunhwan, head of the Cadastral Resurvey Team in the Civil Affairs Division, and staff members Song Minseop (Grade 7, Facilities) and Choi Seonuk (Grade 8, Facilities), achieved the highest score.
Buan County demonstrated its excellence in cadastral surveying and drone operation by placing second in 2022 and first in 2023. The county plans to represent Jeonbuk Province at the national competition hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport next month and is preparing to achieve strong results.
Heo Jinsang, head of the Civil Affairs Division, stated, "Through this competition, we will further strengthen the surveying expertise and job performance of our cadastral officials," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to protect residents' property rights."
