The two organizations shared best practices in ESG management and social contribution. They also agreed to cooperate in promoting and providing preferential benefits for labor welfare programs, such as industrial health management for workplaces and workers within the airport, as well as support for employment insurance premiums and workplace daycare centers. As a joint initiative, they will pilot a program this year to provide rest areas within the airport and hold memorial events prior to departure for the families of approximately 100 foreign workers who die in industrial accidents each year.
The corporation expects that this agreement will help improve the welfare of the approximately 90,000 employees stationed at Incheon Airport, and contribute to realizing social value by actively honoring foreign workers.
President Lee stated, "By cooperating with the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, we will provide quality jobs and continue to faithfully fulfill our social responsibilities as the nation's gateway airport."
