A whole chicken became a special gift for children who use local child centers.
On April 21, the Korea Regional Child Center Association announced, "To celebrate the upcoming Children's Day, we will host a chicken party for more than 16,000 children in the Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Gwangju regions." This event is sponsored by the chicken franchise Kyochon F&B, with 605 local child centers in Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Gwangju participating.

The event consists of two main programs. The "Food Support Program" involves sharing chicken, while the "Happiness Support Program" includes disability awareness education and a hands-on chicken-making experience.
The chicken-making experience, in particular, is highly popular every year, as it allows children to feel a sense of accomplishment by preparing food themselves. The disability awareness education, conducted in the form of games, is also expected to help improve communication and social skills among peers.
Ok Kyungwon, President of the Association, stated, "Care is not just the responsibility of individuals or families, but of society as a whole," and added, "I hope this sharing, which supports the healthy growth of children, will serve as a foundation for a better future."
