Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will host the 7th Changwon Mayor's Cup National Shooting Competition at the Changwon International Shooting Range for seven days, from April 21 to April 27.
This competition is organized and hosted by the Gyeongnam Shooting Federation. It will feature four divisions: middle school, high school, university, and general. Over 2,500 athletes from 354 teams across the country are expected to participate. The athletes will compete in all international events except for mixed events, 300m, and 50m running target.
The Changwon Mayor's Cup National Shooting Competition, which began in 2019, has become a major national shooting event, attracting more than 2,000 athletes each year. This year’s competition is drawing significant attention from shooting fans, especially as it will feature many of Korea’s top shooters, including Paris Olympic medalists Kim Yeji, Ban Hyojin, and Yang Jiin.
The Changwon International Shooting Range, the venue for the competition, is an urban shooting range equipped with world-class facilities and advanced infrastructure. It has hosted various international and national shooting competitions, and is recognized by athletes and officials as the optimal location for such events.
