In particular, in August 2023 and June 2024, he took part in the "Hometown Love Donation Certification Challenge," which was first initiated at the suggestion of National Assembly member Han Byungdo, who was the main sponsor of the Hometown Love Donation Act. Through this challenge, he donated to Naju and Boseong County, taking the lead in spreading the culture of giving.

Marking his fourth donation this year, Mayor Jin Inhwa continued to express the spirit of solidarity and cooperation by donating to Boseong County, as he did last year. In response, Boseong County Mayor Kim Cheolwoo also donated to Gwangyang City, further strengthening the meaning of mutual growth and continuing a beautiful partnership for co-prosperity between the two regions.

Mayor Jin Inhwa stated, "The Hometown Love Donation Program allows people to donate not only to their hometowns but also to regions they have ties with or wish to support. If there is a region you want to encourage, I hope you will join in through the Hometown Love Donation Program."

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is designed to foster a healthy culture of giving, revitalize local economies, promote balanced national development, and expand local government finances. Individuals can donate up to 20 million won per year to local governments other than their own place of residence. Donors receive tax deductions and are also provided with gifts such as local specialty products from the recipient region.
