EV3 Wins 'World Car of the Year' and Best Design Award
Ultra-fast Charger and Emergency Hammer & Cutter Receive Main Prizes
Hyundai Motor Company and Kia announced on the 21st that they won a total of seven awards at the 2025 Red Dot Award, including one Best of the Best award and six main awards.
The Kia EV3 received the Best of the Best award in the Product Design category, while six other products?Hyundai Motor Company's IONIQ 9, The All-New Palisade, Smart Taxi Indicator, Home Electric Vehicle Charger, Epit Superfast Charger, and Pixel Emergency Hammer and Cutter?were awarded the main prize.
The EV3, which was named World Car of the Year on the 16th, demonstrated its competitiveness once again by winning the Best of the Best award at the Red Dot Award, which is given only to products with the highest level of design.
The EV3 drew attention for its bold and robust styling that highlights the futuristic characteristics of an electric vehicle. Based on Kia's design philosophy, "Opposite United," the model features a solid-looking body and a dynamic roofline that create a harmonious contrast. Following the Best of the Best awards for the EV6 in 2022 and the EV9 in 2024, Kia has once again proven the design competitiveness of its dedicated electric vehicle models.
The large electrified SUV IONIQ 9 features a design inspired by boats, combining a sleek exterior that minimizes water resistance with a spacious and cozy interior. The All-New Palisade applies bold proportions to its side profile and incorporates a solid design into the front grille, giving the impression of a grand sculpture.
Hyundai Motor Company's Smart Taxi Indicator is a new indicator introduced in the Sonata taxi model launched in April last year. It was designed to improve the city's aesthetics and to help customers use taxis more safely. The Hyundai Motor Company Home Electric Vehicle Charger is characterized by its simplified design, while still offering convenient and intuitive functions.
The Epit Superfast Charger can be installed even in space-constrained environments such as underground parking lots within cities, creating an efficient charging environment. The Pixel Emergency Hammer and Cutter is a safety device that can be used to break windows or cut seat belts in the event of a vehicle accident.
