The Daejeon Cultural Foundation announced that it will promote the '2025 Crowdfunding Project' to establish a healthy culture of supporting local arts and culture.
Crowdfunding refers to raising funds from a large number of people using an online platform.
This year's project plans to select up to seven cultural and artistic projects that will be held in Daejeon from August to October. If the selected projects reach their funding goal (minimum 1 million KRW to maximum 3 million KRW) through crowdfunding, the foundation will provide matching subsidies at up to a 1:1 ratio.
Eligibility requirements are as follows: Individuals must be artists whose registered address on their resident registration is in Daejeon. For groups, the address on their business registration certificate or unique identification certificate must be in Daejeon, the representative's resident registration address must be in Daejeon, and at least 50% of the main participants must be artists who reside and work in Daejeon.
Applications can be submitted through the foundation's sponsorship platform 'Daejeon Yesul Ssiat' from the 28th to 5 p.m. on the 30th. Selection will be made through document review and interviews.
Meanwhile, since 2022, the Daejeon Cultural Foundation has promoted crowdfunding projects, raising a total of 40.13 million KRW in citizen funding for 19 projects over the past three years and providing 35.03 million KRW in matching support.
