Actor Yoo Ji-tae will participate as an audio guide in the 'Spring Royal Palace Culture Festival.'
The Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Palaces and Tombs Headquarters and the National Heritage Promotion Agency announced on the 11th that Yoo will provide delicate commentary on the beauty of traditional crafts at the craft exhibition 'Gogung Manjeong (古宮萬情)' held at Changgyeonggung Palace.
An official stated, "With a deep resonance and restrained emotional expression, he conveys the atmosphere of the royal palace and the depth of crafts in a calm yet dignified manner." Yoo said, "It is our responsibility to preserve and continue tradition," adding, "As an actor, I hope my voice contributes to promoting tradition and helping people remember our heritage."
'Gogung Manjeong' is a fusion exhibition combining traditional and contemporary crafts, set against the backdrop of Changgyeonggung Palace. It features works by holders and masters of national intangible cultural heritage as well as contemporary craft artists, filling major pavilions and outdoor spaces such as Myeongjeongjeon, Haminjeong, Jibokheon, and Yeongchunheon. The exhibition will be open from the 26th of this month through the 4th of next month during the Royal Palace Culture Festival. The audio guide can be accessed via QR code. Admission is free.
