원본보기 아이콘Gokseong County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Jo Sangrae), announced on the 10th that it has held a meeting with representatives of participating villages and officially launched the "2025 Clean Jeonnam Best Village Creation" project to ensure its efficient implementation.
The "Clean Jeonnam Best Village Creation Project" is a resident-led initiative aimed at creating clean local communities. A total of 157 villages, including those selected as outstanding villages last year, are participating. The county is supporting the project budget with the goal of sustainable village development based on voluntary resident participation.
This series of meetings began in Gokseong-eup on the 8th and will continue through the 11th, touring 11 towns and townships. The meetings are designed to provide village representatives and local officials with guidance on project implementation methods, key considerations, and settlement procedures to ensure the smooth and successful progress of the 2025 Clean Jeonnam Best Village Creation Project.
A county official stated, "Through these meetings, we have taken an important step to ensure the smooth progress of the project," adding, "We will continue to provide ongoing monitoring and consulting to ensure the project's successful execution."
The official also added, "We will provide all necessary resources to help our villages and county be selected as outstanding villages and local governments in the comprehensive evaluation by Jeollanam-do scheduled for October."
