Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province is launching the '2025 Jangsu County Housing Expense Support Program for Youth and Newlyweds.'
According to the county on the 10th, this program, which utilizes the 'Youth Development Fund,' has been planned to improve the residential conditions for local youth and newlywed couples.
The program targets youth and newlywed households without homes who rent properties within the county and have a median income of 150% or less (with a housing supply area of 85㎡ or less). Each household can receive up to 1 million KRW. For jeonse (long-term deposit lease) contracts, the support is limited to interest within 2% of the loan, and for monthly rent, it is limited to up to 30% of the annual rental fee.
Applicants must meet detailed eligibility requirements regarding age, residency, housing, and income. Applications can be submitted in person at each township administrative welfare center or township office by the 18th. The county plans to reduce the fixed housing cost burden for local youth and create conditions for them to settle in a stable residential environment through this program.
County Governor Choi Hunsik said, "I hope this housing expense support program will help ease the housing cost burden for youth and serve as an opportunity to establish a stable foundation for living in Jangsu. We will continue to actively support youth so they can settle in Jangsu and plan for their future."
