Kang Kicheol, CEO of Daeil Electric, received the Order of Industrial Service Merit from the government at the commemorative ceremony for the 60th Electric Power Day held at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Seoul on the 10th.

On this day, the Korea Electrical Engineers Association held a government award ceremony for contributors to the development of the power industry, commemorating the first private lighting of street lamps at Jongno intersection on April 10, 1900, and recognizing those who have contributed to the advancement of the electric power industry.

Kang said, "It is an honor to receive such a great award," and added, "I will do my best to further contribute to the development of the power industry."
