Dong-A University School of Law Alumni Association Holds 3rd Yugok Park Wonyoung Scholarship Award Ceremony

The Dong-A University School of Law (Law School, Dean Song Siseop) announced that the Alumni Association of the College of Law (President Yang Jaesaeng, Chairman of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry) held the "3rd Yugok Park Wonyoung Scholarship Award Ceremony."

The event, held on the 7th at the dean's office of the Dong-A University School of Law at the Bumin Campus, was attended by Dean Song Siseop, President Yang Jaesaeng, Honorary President Bae Gwanghyo of the Law Alumni Association, alumni lawyers Kim Minjun and Choi Junseo, Professor Ha Taeyoung, and the scholarship recipients.

The "Yugok Park Wonyoung Scholarship" was established in accordance with the wishes of Professor Park Wonyoung, who served as a professor at the Dong-A University College of Law (now the School of Law) and dedicated his life to nurturing legal professionals. He donated his assets to the Law Alumni Association to be used as scholarships for junior legal professionals.

The Dong-A University College of Law Alumni Association continues to honor this legacy by awarding scholarships to juniors every year.

At the scholarship ceremony, Choi Seokhun and Seo Junyoung, 17th class students of the School of Law, each received a scholarship of 2.5 million KRW, totaling 5 million KRW. Both students are graduates of the Dong-A University Seokdang Talent Division and have recently entered the Dong-A University School of Law.

So far, scholarships totaling 15 million KRW have been awarded to six recipients.

President Yang Jaesaeng said, "I hope this scholarship will be a great encouragement and hope to aspiring legal professionals, and that it will serve as a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the educational philosophy and devoted life of the late Professor Park Wonyoung."
