World Vision, an international relief and development NGO (Chairman Jo Myung-hwan), announced on the 9th that it held the closing ceremony for the '2024 Value for ESG' university student volunteer group in collaboration with Lotte Corporation (Chairman Shin Dong-bin).

At the Jamsil SKY31 Convention Auditorium, a total of 20 teams from the '2024 Value for ESG' university student volunteer group shared presentations of outstanding project cases, awarded excellent activity teams, handed out certificates of completion, and exchanged their thoughts on participation. On this day, three teams received Excellence Awards (Green Bridge, Treat, Eolsu), one team received the Grand Excellence Award (Meongtographer), and one team received the Grand Prize (Aroseggim). 'Value for ESG' is an abbreviation of 'Value Creator University for ESG,' planned with the goal of supporting university students to directly define, contemplate, and seek solutions to social issues together with World Vision and Lotte, thereby creating positive social change.

The volunteer group participated in team-based volunteer project planning and execution, as well as group volunteer activities linked with Lotte affiliates from last November until this month. In particular, they conducted a total of 159 volunteer sessions for 910 people in cooperation with 42 participating organizations. Additionally, they actively engaged in one-on-one mentoring with social innovation experts, operated a Christmas experience booth for pediatric patients at Hanam Bobath Hospital (Lotte Medical Foundation), and participated in resource circulation process experiences and upcycling activities.

Park Wang-geun, Executive Director of Lotte Corporation, said, "This was an important activity for the sustainability of our society's future beyond simple volunteering," adding, "We will continue to support more young people to take an interest in and participate in solving social problems."

Na Yoon-chul, CMO of World Vision, said, "We sincerely thank all volunteer members who worked hard to contribute to solving social issues based on their own ideas and passion," and added, "World Vision will continue to support opportunities for the younger generation to plan and implement various social problem-solving projects."
