Military Mutual Aid Association Delivers Consolation Funds to 39th and 50th Divisions for Wildfire Suppression

The Military Mutual Aid Association announced on the 10th that it has delivered consolation money to the Army's 39th and 50th Divisions, who dedicated themselves to wildfire suppression.

Park Dong-woo, Standing Auditor of the Military Mutual Aid Association, and Kim Yong-seok, Director of the Construction Investment Division, visited the units on the 9th to express their gratitude to the soldiers who protected the lives and property of the people through wildfire suppression operations. The 39th Division (Gyeongnam) and the 50th Division (Daegu) demonstrated unwavering military spirit during the recent large-scale wildfires and successfully completed the suppression operations. They are currently continuing civil support activities such as medical assistance.


Jung Jae-kwan, Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association, said, "I sincerely thank the soldiers of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces who quietly devoted themselves to the people wounded by the flames," adding, "I extend my deepest condolences to the residents who lost their families and homes in an instant, and earnestly hope they can return to their normal daily lives as soon as possible."
