원본보기 아이콘DongSung Pharmaceutical (CEO Na Won-gyun) announced on the 10th that it is accelerating its entry into the Middle Eastern market by successfully launching its vegan gray hair dye brand 'DongSung Herb' in Kuwait's largest pharmacy chains, 'Pharmazone' and 'Royal Pharmacy.'
This is the first K-dye product to simultaneously enter the top pharmacy chains holding the first and second market shares in Kuwait within one year of entering the Middle East, drawing significant attention. The company has also recently signed export contracts with Iraq and Iran, speeding up its expansion throughout the Middle East.
Additionally, the brand 'Herb' has been introduced to 'LuLu Hypermarket,' a leading distributor in the UAE, further expanding its reach to local consumers through a large distribution network spanning the six GCC countries.
'DongSung Herb' is a steady seller celebrating its 30th anniversary, a vegan gray hair dye with ingredients that are gentle on the scalp. It has attracted high interest from Middle Eastern consumers, aligning with the global beauty market's growing 'vegan' trend. The men's beard dye 'Herb for Men' has also received positive responses, strengthening the product lineup.
Over the past two years, DongSung Pharmaceutical has continuously participated in the 'Dubai Beautyworld' exhibition, focusing on raising brand awareness. Through product development optimized for the local market and strategic marketing, it is gradually expanding its distribution channels within the Middle East.
A DongSung Pharmaceutical official stated, "'DongSung Herb,' which aligns with the vegan trend, uses natural plant-extracted dyes that are gentle on the scalp while providing excellent coloring power. We have selected actor Namgoong Min as the model for domestic promotion, and the product is gaining recognition for its competitiveness in the global market." He added, "Based on the achievements in the US and the Middle East, DongSung Herb plans to accelerate its entry into the overseas natural dye market worth 10 trillion KRW, including Japan and Europe."
