Gwangju Science Center Opens Special Space Science Exhibition 'World Beyond Earth'

Human imagination about space has been brought to life in an exhibition. The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 10th that it held the opening ceremony for the special space science exhibition 'World Beyond Earth' the previous day and has officially begun the exhibition.


About 30 people attended the opening ceremony, including Han Hyeongju, director of the National Gwacheon Science Museum, representatives from partner institutions that co-planned and provided the exhibition content, as well as figures from the education and science sectors.

This special exhibition is a touring exhibition of the 2024 Brand Planning Exhibition organized by the National Gwacheon Science Museum. Seven institutions, including the Korea Aerospace Administration, Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Korean Astronomical Society, and Korea Institute for Advanced Study, collaborated to create the content. A variety of exhibits have been prepared on topics such as the structure and exploration of the universe, and the history and future of astronomy.


Director Lee Jeonggu said, "I hope this exhibition will spark interest and imagination about space not only for children and teenagers but also for adults," and added, "The Gwangju Science Museum will continue to work hard on science and culture education for future generations."


'World Beyond Earth' will be held at the Gwangju Science Museum from the 8th of this month until June 29, and more information can be found on the museum's website.
