Kim Yuncheol, the governor of Hapcheon County in Gyeongnam, visited the construction site of the Agricultural Technology Center's new building, the 'Science-based Farming Integrated Facility,' to inspect the progress before completion and encourage the on-site staff, it was announced on the 10th.
The Science-based Farming Integrated Facility, which symbolizes a new leap forward for the next 100 years of Hapcheon's future agriculture, began construction in April 2023 on the site of the agricultural research facility at 910-318 Gopum-ri, Yongju-myeon. The current construction progress is about 97%, with completion scheduled for the end of this month. The total site area is 7,151 square meters; the main building has one basement level and four above-ground floors, and the annex has two above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 4,807 square meters.

원본보기 아이콘The facility is expected to provide one-stop services to farmers with offices and training rooms, a smart greenhouse, soil testing room, pest and disease diagnosis room, agricultural product safety analysis room, cooking practice room, cafeteria, and a multipurpose plaza.
Governor Kim received a briefing on the future schedule at the site and closely inspected the construction progress and on-site safety management.
Governor Kim Yuncheol stated, "The Science-based Farming Integrated Facility will serve as a pivotal center for Hapcheon's agriculture, consolidating related functions and integrating work and training spaces to enhance agricultural productivity and competitiveness."
He added, "As the construction is progressing smoothly, I ask all those involved to pay close attention to safety and do their utmost to ensure that a solid, defect-free building is completed."
