Busan Institute of Science and Technology Promotion (BISTEP, President Kim Youngbu) announced on the 8th that applications for the '2025 2nd External Cooperation R&D Planning Support Project New Tasks' will be accepted until the 25th.
The External Cooperation R&D Planning Support Project aims to expand the attraction of national projects by local R&D entities such as companies, universities, and research institutes based in Busan. The project provides support for planning expenses, education to strengthen R&D planning capabilities, and consulting for planning reports.
Following the first announcement, which closed in January this year, this second announcement plans to select approximately 24 planning tasks in two categories: Advanced Strategic Demand Type (planning projects with a total budget of over 5 billion KRW through the formation of a consortium of three or more organizations) and Corporate Support Type (planning projects led by Busan-based companies with a total budget of over 500 million KRW).
In the second announcement, the Corporate Support Type has been subdivided into Company-Led Type and Consulting-Linked Type, providing direct support for companies to attract R&D public projects and expanding the range of choices.
Additionally, for the Advanced Strategic Demand Type, projects involving departments under the jurisdiction of Busan Metropolitan City will receive an additional 2 points in the selection evaluation process. For the Corporate Support Type, companies certified as Jisan-Hak Cooperation Branches will receive 3 extra points, and companies certified by Busan Metropolitan City will receive 2 extra points.
Detailed information about this announcement can be found on the BISTEP website.
