Jeonbuk Province Recruiting 'SW Small Giants' Until the 17th

"Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Software Industry"

Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center are recruiting five companies for the "2025 Convergence SW Small but Strong Enterprises" program until the 17th.


According to the province on the 4th, this recruitment is aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the local software (SW) industry. Eligible applicants are corporate businesses in the SW or IT sector with their headquarters in Jeonbuk, at least three years of operation, more than 10 full-time employees, and an average annual sales of 1 to 2.5 billion KRW over the past two years.

The selected companies will be determined through document review and presentation evaluation by an external panel of experts organized by the Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center. The final five companies will be granted the title of "Jeonbuk Convergence SW Small but Strong Enterprise" for ten years.


The final selected companies will receive customized support, including systematic exchange and cooperation activities among SW small but strong enterprises, expert mentoring to resolve challenges in the SW and IT sectors, the latest research trends and industry information in the SW field, and opportunities to present and exhibit outstanding cases of SW small but strong enterprises.


In addition, companies can participate in various support programs within the SW Small but Strong Enterprise Development Project, such as R&D support for excellent idea commercialization, small but strong enterprise package support, and benefits ranging from 20 million to a maximum of 60 million KRW per company. The province plans to focus on discovering SW companies with technological capabilities and growth potential through this project and nurturing them into companies with sustainable competitiveness.


Kim Jaecheon, Director of the Provincial Digital Industry Division, said, "We will spare no effort in providing systematic support so that local SW companies can grow into globally competitive small but strong enterprises," adding, "We will continue to discover various support policies so that the SW industry can establish itself as a core industry driving the regional economy."


Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and Jeonbuk Digital Convergence Center select SW small but strong enterprises every year to respond to the digital transformation across industries and support the advancement of local SW companies. Until last year, a total of 35 companies have been discovered and nurtured.
