The National Library of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the second set of 8 librarian-recommended books of the year on the 1st.

The recommended books include, in the literature category, ▲'Where the Light Leads' ▲'My Small Country'; in the humanities and arts category, ▲'Discovery of Place Names' ▲'How to Practice Properly'; in the social sciences category, ▲'The History of Food' ▲'Learning Silence'; and in the natural sciences category, ▲'Ant Odyssey' ▲'Elephants Don’t Get Cancer.'


'Where the Light Leads' is a novel written by an architect based on actual collected cases, movingly unfolding the love and secrets held within architecture by following light and memory.


'Learning Silence' emphasizes the value of silence and inner reflection in an age of noise and information overload, helping modern people regain the meaning of lost tranquility.


'Elephants Don’t Get Cancer' explores ways humans can live healthily and happily through the survival strategies of animals, awakening awareness of coexistence and respect for various life forms.
