Renault Korea Appoints Song Sang-myeong as New Head of Purchasing Division

Renault Korea announced on the 31st that it has appointed Song Sang-myeong as the new Head of Purchasing (photo).

Head Song is an expert with over 35 years of experience as an automotive development engineer. He previously served as the chief development engineer for the QM6 and the Nissan Rogue produced at the Busan plant. Additionally, from 2018 to 2021, he participated as the Renault representative at Nissan's research center in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, contributing to the development of the 'CMF-CD3' platform.

Renault Korea explained the reason for the appointment, stating, "Head Song is the right person to lead technical cooperation and support from various partners in Renault Korea's new vehicle development and production, including the Aurora project, based on his expertise in vehicle and platform development."

Head Song graduated from the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering at Pusan National University in 1990 and joined Renault Korea in 2003 after working at GM Daewoo and other companies.
