To support kindergartens with a small number of students that find it difficult to organize group activities such as water play or sports days, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education is operating the "Eoullim Kindergarten" project, which groups together small-scale kindergartens regardless of whether they are public or private.
According to the city office of education on the 31st, the "Eoullim Kindergarten" project supports teams of two to five small-scale public or private kindergartens, each with three or fewer classes, to jointly operate unique curricula and experiential activities for young children.
Last year, the Nature Sea Experience Learning was conducted at Pungam Elementary School Attached Kindergarten, which was formerly Eoullim Kindergarten. Provided by Gwangju Office of Education.

Last year, 30 public and private kindergartens were divided into 10 teams and jointly conducted activities such as ▲ attending children's musicals ▲ joint sports days ▲ kimchi-making experiences ▲ water play activities. In addition, teachers exchanged lessons and discussed child development, helping to form a network among staff members.
This year, the office of education plans to select 30 kindergartens and provide each team with 4 million won, for a total of 40 million won in support. Last year's satisfaction survey showed a satisfaction rate of 96.6% among teachers and parents.
Superintendent Lee Jungseon stated, "The Eoullim Kindergarten project is a public-oriented initiative that helps ensure children at small kindergartens are not excluded from educational and cultural activities," adding, "We will further expand opportunities for child- and play-centered education as well as parental participation."
