Bando Construction has donated a total of 200 million KRW to support disaster victims and relief personnel affected by wildfires in the Yeongnam region.
On the 31st, Bando Construction announced that it had donated 150 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and separately provided 50 million KRW to Uiseong-gun, which was severely affected.
The donated funds will be used through the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to support disaster victims and relief personnel affected by the wildfires in the Yeongnam area, including assistance for their activities, securing housing facilities, repairing damaged buildings, and providing living expenses and relief supplies to the victims.
Kim Yong-chul, CEO of Bando Construction, stated, "We express our condolences and heartfelt sympathy to those who suffered casualties and had to evacuate their homes due to the large-scale wildfires." He added, "We also want to extend our gratitude to the firefighting personnel and relief volunteers who are dedicated to extinguishing the fires and restoring the affected areas."
Meanwhile, Bando Construction has continuously participated in national disaster support projects, including donating 200 million KRW in 2022 to support wildfire victims in Uljin and Samcheok. Since 2017, for eight consecutive years, it has donated 100 million KRW annually to the Construction Industry Social Contribution Foundation to support medical and living expenses for construction disaster workers.
