On the 25th at 8:20 PM, Ulju-gun sent a disaster safety message urging residents of nearby villages to evacuate quickly due to the wildfire spreading in Onyang-eup.

The villages newly ordered to evacuate are Shingi, Oegwang, Naegwang, Junggwang, Oegosan, Junggosan, Naegosan, Yangdal, Gwiji, and Sangdae, totaling 10 locations.

An official from Ulsan explained that after sunset, the wind direction changed and wind speeds intensified, causing the fire front to spread again.

Forestry authorities are focusing on preventing damage to residential areas by deploying firefighting equipment and personnel.

The wildfire started on the 22nd in the hills of Unhwa-ri, Onyang-eup. Even on the fourth day since the fire began, dry air and strong winds have prevented the main fire from being fully controlled.

At one point that day, the containment rate rose to 98%, raising expectations that the main fire would be extinguished before sunset. However, some equipment and personnel were diverted to a wildfire occurring nearby in Eonyang-eup, resulting in little progress in containment.
