Kiwoom Asset Management Launches Kiwoom ELB Plus Fund

Kiwoom Asset Management announced on the 24th that it will launch the 'Kiwoom ELB Plus Securities Investment Trust No.1' fund, a customized pension-only product for those nearing retirement and retirees.

Retirement pension subscribers who are within five years of retirement or have just retired tend to have a strong risk-averse tendency and demand products that manage pension assets stably. The market has entered a phase of interest rate cuts, and with the recent increase in volatility in the global financial markets, investors are becoming more concerned about asset management.

Considering the market environment, Kiwoom Asset Management's Kiwoom ELB Plus Fund has two main features: it is structured to respond to market volatility and is advantageous in a declining interest rate environment. Approximately 70% of the total assets are invested in 3-year maturity ELBs issued by financial institutions with a credit rating of AA- or higher. This secures the stability of principal and interest, allowing investors to enjoy the current interest rate for three years. It minimizes reinvestment risk that may occur during interest rate declines.

The remaining approximately 30% is allocated through a portfolio consisting of global ETFs, public offerings, and stocks, conducting strategic asset allocation and selecting promising global megatrends for diversified investment. The strategy is designed to respond flexibly even in highly volatile market conditions and actively pursue additional excess return opportunities during market rebounds. Through this, investors can reduce the risk of market downturns while sufficiently securing growth opportunities during upswings.

Kim Hyena, team leader at Kiwoom Asset Management, said, "As 9.54 million members of the second baby boomer generation (born 1964?1974) enter retirement age, pension management solutions for the withdrawal phase, when expenses exceed income, are very important." She added, "It is especially important to invest without losses before and after the withdrawal phase," explaining, "To this end, the Kiwoom ELB Plus Fund is a retirement-oriented customized fund designed to defend against asset value decline risks while expecting additional alpha returns."

The Kiwoom ELB Plus Fund can be subscribed to at KB Kookmin Bank, Daishin Securities, Hana Securities, and others. Subscriptions are open until the 27th, with the fund being established on the 28th.
