Emergency Drill for Main Tunnel Rail Fracture Conducted as in Real Situations

Daejeon Transportation Corporation announced that it conducted an "Emergency Rail Fracture Restoration Drill" at dawn on the 20th to strengthen its ability to respond to emergencies in the railroad track sector inside the urban railway tunnel.

This drill was carried out to ensure passenger safety and normalize train operations by responding quickly and restoring service in the event of emergencies such as rail damage during train operations.

All employees in the railroad track sector, including executives, headquarters staff, and on-site restoration teams, participated in the drill and followed step-by-step procedures based on a scenario simulating a real-life situation.

In particular, the focus was on enhancing in-house restoration capabilities to quickly resume train operations in unexpected situations, and the drill was conducted in a realistic environment using large-scale railway equipment.

President Yeon Gyuyang said, "Railway safety is directly connected to citizens' lives, so repeated drills simulating real situations are essential," adding, "Through this drill, we were able to further strengthen our emergency response capabilities for the urban railway."
