The Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 14th that it will hold the '2025 Supply Chain ESG Integrated Briefing' in collaboration with the Win-Win Growth Committee. This briefing was promoted to expand ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management and strengthen cooperation between large and small-to-medium enterprises.
In particular, the focus was on exploring response measures to the strengthening of global ESG regulations and providing support information for sustainable management. The main programs consisted of ▲a lecture to share the importance of ESG management and response strategies ▲introduction of ESG support projects and Q&A ▲on-site meetings, among others.
Specifically, starting with a lecture on ‘Global ESG Regulatory Trends and Prospects,’ the Small and Medium Business Corporation presented on the ‘SME Climate Disclosure and Supply Chain Due Diligence Infrastructure Project,’ and the Win-Win Growth Committee introduced the ‘Large and SME Autonomous ESG Support Project’ and the ‘Partner Company ESG Support Project.’ Participating companies are expected to establish practical ESG strategies and receive support benefits through the briefing.
In the subsequent 'Visiting Small and Medium Business Corporation' on-site meeting, Ban Jeong-sik, Director of Regional Innovation at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, and Park Chi-hyung, Head of Operations at the Win-Win Growth Committee, listened to difficulties such as labor shortages faced by SMEs along with supply chain managers from large companies, representatives of SMEs from Seoul and Gyeonggi, and related personnel from the Small and Medium Business Corporation’s field departments, and discussed support measures.
Director Ban said, “Through this briefing, we will support SMEs to more effectively adopt ESG management and proactively respond to global regulations,” adding, “We will continue to make efforts to promote cooperation between large and small-to-medium enterprises and strengthen ESG competitiveness.”
