According to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on the 12th, the schools that decided on temporary closure on the day of the impeachment trial verdict include 2 kindergartens (Jaedong Elementary Attached Kindergarten and Unhyeon Kindergarten), 3 elementary schools (Jaedong Elementary, Gyodong Elementary, Unhyeon Elementary), 2 middle schools (Deokseong Girls' Middle School and Jungang Middle School), 3 high schools (Deokseong Girls' High School, Jungang High School, Daedong Tax High School), and 1 special school (Gyeongun School), totaling 11 schools.

Hannam Elementary School and Hannam Elementary Attached Kindergarten, located near the presidential residence, are also considering whether to close on the day of the impeachment verdict.

To minimize inconvenience to parents, emergency care will be provided simultaneously during the temporary closure. Seventeen students from Jaedong Elementary and Gyodong Elementary can receive emergency care using the nearby Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Children's Library facilities, and 12 kindergarten students from Jaedong Elementary Attached Kindergarten can receive support at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Early Childhood Education Promotion Center facilities.

If schools conduct normal classes before and after the impeachment trial verdict day, a school safety task force will be operated by deploying additional staff from the main office and the Jungbu Education Support Office along school routes. The task force will be composed of pairs of two education office employees who will assist with student arrival and dismissal at school gates and major school routes, and will be responsible for tasks such as handing over students to parents and verifying boarding on academy vehicles. Access by outsiders at school gates will also be controlled. Additionally, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has requested the National Police Agency, Jongno Police Station, and the Autonomous Police Committee to take active measures such as deploying police personnel and installing police lines to prevent student safety accidents.

Superintendent Jeong Geun-sik stated, "We will do our best to secure the safety of school routes from assemblies and demonstrations and to stabilize educational activities."
