The initial autopsy result for Wheesung indicated that the 'cause of death is unknown.'
On the morning of the 12th, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that the National Forensic Service conducted an autopsy on Wheesung and delivered a preliminary verbal opinion stating 'cause of death unknown.'
It is expected to take about two more weeks for the detailed drug test results to be released.
A police official said, "We ask for your understanding as we cannot provide specific details about the ongoing investigation of this unattended death case."
Earlier, Wheesung was found dead around 6:29 PM on the 10th in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu. It is known that the police and fire department responded after receiving a report from his mother.
So far, no signs of external intrusion or indications of homicide have been found.
