KakaoBank's business certificate can now also be used as an authentication method for the Public Procurement Service's 'Next-Generation Nara Market'.
In April last year, KakaoBank launched the 'Business Certificate', the first in the financial sector that allows users to easily apply for and receive a certificate without submitting separate documents. The service was implemented to enable easy application and issuance of certificates without submitting separate documents such as business registration certificates and application forms, and the certificates are encrypted within the app to ensure security.
KakaoBank business customers can use KakaoBank's business certificate on the 'Next-Generation Nara Market'. The 'Nara Market', which handles all procurement processes from public institution announcements, bidding, contract signing, to payment, has introduced a next-generation system that broadens the choice of authentication methods and has been in operation since January.
The KakaoBank business certificate can be used for all three tasks on the 'Next-Generation Nara Market': 'Membership Registration', 'Electronic Bidding', and 'Electronic Contract'. Customers holding the KakaoBank business certificate can conveniently carry out the entire public procurement process from membership registration to bidding participation and electronic contract tasks.
KakaoBank stated, "We have expanded the usage of the certificate so that business customers can use it safely and conveniently on the 'Next-Generation Nara Market'." They added, "We plan to continuously expand cooperation and partnerships with private and public institutions to further enhance user convenience."
Since launching the 'Certificate Service' for the first time in March 2023, KakaoBank has been continuously expanding its competitiveness in the certification business. As of February 2025, the number of subscribers has surpassed 16 million.
