Kim Ki-hyun, a pro-Yoon faction member and lawmaker of the People Power Party, urged the Constitutional Court on the 9th to dismiss the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol.
On the 9th, Kim Ki-hyun posted on Facebook, "Some constitutional justices must wake up from the delusion that they, as appointees, can do anything to the president elected by the people, who have fallen into political games," adding, "The only way to restore the shaken judicial trust is to promptly dismiss the impeachment trial request against the president."
He criticized the opposition parties, including the Democratic Party, saying, "It is time to end the 'curse ritual' and regain rational reason to cooperate in normalizing state affairs," and asked, "How long do you intend to continue fostering this extreme and abnormal confrontation?"

He continued, "It is time to end the abnormal state stained with illegal and unlawful acts so far, restore the rule of law, and manage the national crisis."
Addressing Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, he urged, "Stop the ridiculous right-wing cosplay of being intoxicated with presidential ambitions, wavering, speaking differently, and acting differently, and sincerely cooperate in overcoming the livelihood crisis."
