Cancellation of Yoon's Detention: Park Ji-won Says "The Sky is Falling... The Current State of Korean Prosecution"

Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 7th that the court's acceptance of President Yoon Seok-yeol's request for cancellation of detention is "like the sky is falling because the traitor Yoon Seok-yeol's detention was canceled based on the court's decision."

On the same day, Park stated on his Facebook, "There are reports that the prosecution confused the time and date of the detention hearing when indicting, leading to such a judicial decision."

He added, "I cannot help but have a reasonable suspicion that this was a calculated mistake by the prosecution," and criticized, "This is the current state of the prosecution in the Republic of Korea."

He continued, "I urge the prosecution, police, and the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials to promptly re-arrest the traitor Yoon Seok-yeol and isolate him from the world," emphasizing, "Separately, I earnestly hope for the Constitutional Court's swift acceptance of the ruling."

On the same day, the Seoul Central District Court Criminal Division 25 (Chief Judge Ji Gui-yeon) accepted President Yoon's request for cancellation of detention.
