On the 6th, the Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters held the inauguration ceremony of the ‘Multicultural 119 Youth Corps’ with students from the Suwon and Ansan areas at the Headquarters Jangheon Hall.
About 70 guests, including Kwak Chumun, Deputy Representative of the Taipei Mission in Korea, Yoon Seonggeun, member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council, and Choo Shinkang, Chairman of the Seoul Culture and Arts Exchange Association, attended the event to brighten the occasion.
Jo Seonho, Head of the Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, presented appointment letters to students from the Suwon and Ansan areas and awarded the 119 Youth Corps flag, then urged them to pledge safety and actively promote safety rules.

원본보기 아이콘The Gyeonggi-do 119 Youth Corps was established to spread a culture of safety in the community through fire safety education. Currently, a total of 3,890 members from 144 teams are active, including 179 members from 10 foreign youth teams.
Jo Seonho, Head of the Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Multiculturalism is an inevitable trend of the times, so we must develop diverse firefighting through various perspectives," and promised, "We will spare no effort to actively support the Multicultural 119 Youth Corps so that it can lead changes toward diverse firefighting."
Meanwhile, after the inauguration ceremony, the Multicultural 119 Youth Corps participated in safety experience events such as daily safety, disaster safety, and camping safety at the National Safety Experience Center together with their supervising teachers.
