The Cheontaejong Welfare Foundation Yeongju Senior Welfare Center (Director Lee Sang-gyu) received the highest grade (Grade A) in all areas in the '2024 Social Welfare Facility Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
In particular, it proved its excellence in operation by being the only senior welfare center in Gyeongbuk Province to achieve Grade A in all evaluation areas.
The social welfare facility evaluation is conducted every three years to assess the overall level of facility operation and improve service quality. This evaluation was conducted by the Central Social Service Agency, targeting 287 social welfare centers, 240 senior welfare centers, and 153 nursing facilities nationwide. The evaluation was based on operational performance over two years from 2022 to 2023.
This evaluation was conducted in a total of five areas: ▲Facility and Environment ▲Finance and Organizational Operation ▲Program Services ▲User Rights ▲Overall Facility Operation.
Since its opening in 2017, Yeongju Senior Welfare Center received feedback in the 2022 evaluation that some areas needed improvement, but it was recognized for excellence by achieving Grade A in the remaining areas. Since then, it has continuously pursued operational improvements and service enhancements.
As a result, in the 2024 evaluation, it received Grade A in all areas, recognizing its strengthened operational capabilities. Through this, it has established itself as an institution providing more systematic and higher-level welfare services.
Director Lee Sang-gyu said, “Our welfare center continues to grow with the interest and support of the local community,” and added, “We will do our best to become a senior welfare center that provides better welfare services to the elderly and develops together with the local community.”
Based on the 2025 operational motto, “The Year We Become One,” Yeongju Senior Welfare Center operates various welfare programs as a warm companion to the local elderly.
