Former lawmaker Kim Du-kwan will hold a book concert in Gwangju, presenting a new political vision while emphasizing the need for constitutional amendment and electoral law reform.

According to Kim Du-kwan's camp on the 5th, the book concert for 'Kim Du-kwan's Proposal for Constitutional Amendment' will be held at Gwangju YMCA at 4 p.m. on the 8th.

This event follows similar ones in Daegu on the 22nd of last month and in Busan on the 4th, and is expected to highlight the necessity of constitutional reform under the theme 'New Politics and Korea after Impeachment.'

Kim has described the current state of Korea as a civil war and identified constitutional amendment and electoral law reform as key to national unity. He argues that the Democratic Party, as a ruling party, should present the public with a new political vision and a blueprint for Korea's future.

Kim stated, "It is necessary to pursue a decentralizing constitutional amendment that transfers significant powers from the imperial presidency and central government to the prime minister and local governments, as well as to reform the winner-takes-all single-member district system into a multi-member district system to promote a multi-party system."
