On Tuesday the 4th, the whole country will be mostly cloudy, with snow or rain starting from dawn in the Gangwon mountain areas, east coast, Chungcheong region, Jeolla region, and Gyeongsang region and spreading nationwide by the morning.
Most of the snow falling that day is forecast to stop by night. However, in Gangwon Province, the east coast of Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island, some areas may experience snowfall continuing until night.

원본보기 아이콘From the 3rd to the 5th, over three days, the Gangwon mountain areas, east coast, and northeastern mountain areas and northern east coast of North Gyeongsang Province will receive 10 to 30 cm of snow; inland Gangwon and northern inland North Gyeongsang will get 5 to 10 cm; Daegu (Gunwi) and southwestern inland North Gyeongsang will see 3 to 8 cm of snow. Some places in the Gangwon mountains may accumulate more than 40 cm, and inland Gangwon may have over 15 cm of snow.
On the 4th, expected snowfall amounts are 3 to 10 cm in Chungbuk, 3 to 8 cm in southern Gyeonggi and inland Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungnam, 1 to 5 cm in Seoul, Incheon, northeastern Gyeonggi, western Chungnam coast, and eastern Jeonbuk, and around 1 cm in northwestern Gyeonggi, the five western islands, central inland Jeonbuk, and eastern inland Jeonnam.
From the 4th to the 5th, over two days, the southern east coast of North Gyeongsang, Ulsan, and western inland Gyeongnam are forecast to receive 3 to 8 cm of snow, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo 1 to 5 cm.
From the 3rd to the 5th, expected precipitation amounts are 10 to 40 mm in the Gangwon mountain areas, east coast, and Jeju Island; 10 to 30 mm in northeastern mountain areas and east coast of North Gyeongsang; 5 to 30 mm in Daegu, inland North Gyeongsang, and Ulsan; and 5 to 20 mm in inland Gangwon. Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, and Gyeongnam will receive 5 to 30 mm, and Jeonbuk 5 to 20 mm of rain over two days from the 3rd to the 4th. On the 4th alone, expected precipitation is 5 to 20 mm in the Chungcheong region, 5 to 10 mm in southern Gyeonggi, and around 5 mm in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and the five western islands. Ulleungdo and Dokdo are also forecast to receive 5 to 30 mm of rain from the 4th to the 5th.
The morning low temperatures will range from -5 to 4 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, similar to or slightly lower than usual. However, strong winds of 15 to 20 m/s (20 to 25 m/s in mountainous areas) will blow in many places nationwide for the time being. Especially in the southern coast, east coast of Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island, where strong wind warnings have been issued, gusts may exceed 20 m/s (over 26 m/s in Jeju), blowing very strongly.
Fine dust levels will be 'good' nationwide due to the continuous inflow of clean east wind currents and the effects of snow and rain.
Sea waves will be 2.0 to 5.5 m in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 3.5 m in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 5.5 m in the South Sea nearshore. Offshore waves (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 2.0 to 6.0 m in the East and South Seas, and 1.0 to 5.5 m in the West Sea.
