Park Sung-jun: "Yoon to be sentenced within March 13... Will be unanimously dismissed"

Park Sung-jun, the senior deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, predicted that the Constitutional Court justices will unanimously impeach President Yoon Seok-yeol between the 6th and 13th of this month.

On the 3rd, Park said on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' program, "Looking at when the impeachment trial results have been announced so far, the dates are based on the 11th or 14th," adding, "Since it does not deviate from that standard, I believe the decision will be made between March 6 and 13."

He predicted, "Everyone witnessed the night of the December 3rd insurrection last year, and the entire nation has confirmed President Yoon's lies during the impeachment trial process. How could the Constitutional Court justices in the impeachment trial not reach a unanimous decision?"

Park also repeatedly emphasized the Democratic Party's position of not participating in the ruling and opposition parties' government consultation council.

Regarding Choi Sang-mok, the acting Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, he said, "If he appoints after the Constitutional Court's decision (on the unconstitutionality of not appointing Ma Eun-hyuk as a Constitutional Court justice) is announced, it would be an acknowledgment of his own mistake, so I think he is hesitating," adding, "I think we should boycott (participation) until such an appointment is made."
