‘Honda Champ’ Angel Yin (USA) has risen to 12th in the world rankings.

원본보기 아이콘In the weekly women's golf world rankings announced on the 24th (local time), she earned 4.04 points, jumping five spots from 17th last week. She accumulated points by winning the Honda LPGA Thailand (total prize money $1.7 million), part of the LPGA Tour’s ‘Asian Swing,’ which concluded the previous day at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course (par 72) in Chonburi, Thailand. This is her second career win after the Buick LPGA Shanghai in October 2023, marking her first victory in 1 year and 4 months. The winner’s prize money was $255,000 (approximately 370 million KRW).
There were no changes in the top ranks. Nelly Korda (USA), Atthaya Thitikul (Thailand), Lydia Ko (New Zealand), Yin Ruoning (China), and Lilia Vu (USA) held the 1st to 5th positions. For Korea, Yoo Hae-ran is 7th, Ko Jin-young 8th, Yang Hee-young 13th, Yoon In-na 24th, Kim Hyo-joo 29th, Shin Ji-ae 31st, and Lim Jin-hee 32nd. Kim Ah-rim, who finished 6th at the Honda Thailand, rose two spots to 34th.
