Two Korean missionaries were reportedly killed in an attack by robbers in Madagascar, Africa.
According to diplomatic sources on the 24th, the missionaries were attacked by several local robbers armed with weapons at a church site on the 21st. They were transported to a hospital but eventually died. The two missionaries are said to have been related as father-in-law and son-in-law.
The perpetrators have not yet been caught. While there is speculation that the crime was motivated by robbery, the exact motive has not been confirmed.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Madagascar has reportedly requested a swift investigation from local police authorities. A Ministry of Foreign Affairs official stated, "Since becoming aware of the incident, we have been providing necessary consular assistance."
