"Lee Jae-myung Actually Turns the Steering Wheel Fully to the Left... Proposes Economic Harmful Legislation"

"Lee Jae-myung Only Shackles the Market"
"Centrist Conservative? Turned All the Way to the Left"

The People Power Party criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for reintroducing the Yellow Envelope Act (Partial Amendment to the Labor Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act), saying it does not align with the 'centrist conservative' party image that Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, claimed.

On the 22nd, Kim Dae-sik, chief floor spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a commentary titled "Centrist parties do not shackle the market's ankles," "Recently, the Democratic Party has turned on the right turn signal, claiming to prioritize the economy and people's livelihoods as a centrist conservative party, but in reality, the steering wheel is turned fully to the left."

Regarding the Yellow Envelope Act (Amendment to Articles 2 and 3 of the Labor Union Act), Kim said, "The bill contains provisions that fundamentally block claims for damages by companies due to illegal strikes and force subcontractor workers to engage in collective bargaining with the primary contractors," adding, "If passed, it will plunge our entire economy into great confusion." He also noted, "After initially stating in the Semiconductor Special Act that exceptions to the 52-hour workweek would be considered, the Democratic Party withdrew this within days due to strong opposition from the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, and then even brought up the '4-day workweek,' which also causes confusion."

He wrote, "In a situation where the global economy is contracting and investment sentiment is freezing following the inauguration of the second Trump administration, preparing bills that increase the burden on companies is not politics that cares for the people's livelihoods," and described it as "a political move that only caters to the hardline support base." He continued, "If the Democratic Party truly wants to revive the economy and take care of people's livelihoods as a centrist party, it should support companies to invest freely and allow the market to grow," adding, "Without economic growth, neither welfare nor employment can be sustainable. Flip-flopping political moves only lose the people's trust." Finally, he said, "The People Power Party will block harmful laws that hinder the economy and complete livelihood legislation that allows all citizens to coexist, as well as sustainable pension reform in the February National Assembly," and urged, "The Democratic Party should stop repeatedly flashing left and right turn signals and confusing the people who are struggling with their livelihoods."

Recently, the People Power Party has been criticizing Lee Jae-myung for claiming to be a 'centrist conservative party' while obstructing growth-supporting legislation, calling it "political fraud and opportunism" day after day.
