Kim Gi-hyun, who proposed Lee Jae-myung's entry into the People Power Party(?): "As a centrist-conservative advocate, join the People Power Party"

Kim Ki-hyun, a member of the People Power Party, sharply criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "'Centrist conservative appeal' Lee Jae-myung should join the People Power Party."

On the 20th, Kim said on his Facebook, "Lee's 'absurd' remarks, like 'a sudden blow in the dead of night,' are making the entire nation 'bewildered.'"

Targeting Lee, he said, "Just a few days ago, he proposed a left-wing populist supplementary budget plan that distributed cash to the entire population, but overnight, he talks about being 'centrist conservative.' Watching this, I think he must be quite desperate over his stagnant approval ratings." He added, "From Lee's perspective, who even dreams the 'winter night's foolish dream' that the election law trial will be halted if he is elected, he must be willing to sell his soul."

Kim said, "Ask anyone passing by on the street. Even a six-year-old child would scoff at such absurd remarks," and criticized, "Who on earth thinks Lee, who has been surrounded by the Democratic Party and 'Gaeddal' who consistently pursued extreme left-wing populism and caused division, is a centrist conservative?"

He continued, "It's no different from selling the ancestral burial grounds that have been preserved for generations just to live comfortably alone," and questioned, "What is different from forcing the family members who live together to change their minds overnight for one's own benefit and throwing away the family motto preserved for generations?" He pointed out, "Therefore, the backlash within the Democratic Party is reaching its peak."

Furthermore, he said, "It is impossible for the public to be deceived by Lee's obvious hypocrisy, but even if we concede a hundred times that his words are sincere, we actively welcome it and respectfully request Lee to join the People Power Party, the only centrist conservative party in South Korea."

Earlier, on the 18th, Lee appeared on the YouTube channel 'Saenal' and said, "From now on, the Democratic Party should take on the role of the centrist conservative, the right side." He said, "We are not progressives," and added, "In fact, we actually hold a position around centrist conservative. The progressive camp needs to be newly established."
